FTZ Board Update: New application formats (incl. for waivers)

PLEASE FEEL FREE TO SHARE THIS UPDATE WITH OTHERS WHO MAY BE INTERESTED.

As many of you know, in 2012 the FTZ Board issued a complete revision of its regulations. However, due to certain additional legal requirements, to date we have not been able to make available new application formats that fully incorporate the streamlined processes of the new regulations. All applicable legal requirements have now been met, so the new application formats should be available on our website by the middle of next week (hopefully sooner).

Given certain grantees’ expressed interest in obtaining as soon as possible the format for applications for waivers under the uniform treatment section of the regulations (section 400.43(f)), I am attaching a copy of that application format to this message. If you have a question about this or any of the updated application formats that will be available soon on our website, do not hesitate to contact our office at (202) 482-2862 or ftz@trade.gov. A list of our office’s “regional representatives” – including their direct contact information – is also on our website via the “Contact Us” link on our main page – www.trade.gov/ftz.
