FTZ Board Grantee Update – New Orleans Grantee Outreach Event on September 15

As many of you know, my office has held a series of regional grantee outreach sessions in recent years to provide training and to discuss in a small-group setting any topics of interest to grantees. We have now been able to schedule a grantee outreach event for September 15, 2011, in New Orleans. The event is scheduled for the day after the conclusion of a FTZ-related industry conference in that city, with our outreach event within walking distance of the conference hotel.

There is no charge for our grantee outreach event, which will focus on a morning session from 9:00 to 12:00 to cover any topics of interest to grantees. As needed, we will be able to continue the discussion with interested grantees in the early afternoon (after a lunch break). The scheduled location for our event is the Hale Boggs Federal Building, 500 Poydras Street, Room B106. (We have been told that our event may need to be shifted to another building nearby – if so, registrants will be notified well in advance of the event.)
