Suspension Agreements   ~   Sugar from Mexico


  Description:

On December 19, 2014, the Department of Commerce and signatory producers/exporters accounting for substantially all imports of sugar from Mexico signed this agreement suspending the antidumping investigation on sugar from Mexico. The basis for the agreement was a commitment by each signatory producer/exporter to revise its prices to eliminate completely the injurious effects of exports of the subject merchandise to the United States.

  Description:

On December 19, 2014 The Department of Commerce and the Government of Mexico (``GOM'') signed this agreement suspending the countervailing duty investigation on sugar from Mexico. The basis for this action is the agreement by the Government of Mexico not to provide any new or additional export or import substitution subsidies on the subject merchandise and to restrict the volume of direct or indirect exports to the United States of sugar from all Mexican producers/exporters in order to eliminate completely the injurious effects of exports of this merchandise to the United States.
