Grantee-Training Webinars and Events (Providence, San Antonio, Seattle and more)

The FTZ Board is now planning grantee-training webinars and events from May through October of this year. Each webinar or event is free of charge for grantee officials and will cover a range of topics including grantee responsibilities and best practices, as well as topics raised by the participating grantees.

We have scheduled grantee-training webinars for the following dates:

April 18, 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.

September 21, 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.

We have scheduled grantee-training events at the following locations on the following dates:

Providence, RI (downtown) – May 9, 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.

San Antonio, TX (downtown) – May 23, 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. (immediately following a FTZ-related industry event in San Antonio).

Seattle, WA (near Sea-Tac airport) – June 14, 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.

We also are preliminarily planning subsequent grantee-training events in Kansas City, MO; Detroit, MI; Atlanta, GA; and San Diego, CA through October 2017 (with the San Diego event coinciding with a FTZ-related industry event in that city). We will send one or more follow-up announcements via e-mail as we firm up plans for the events in Kansas City, Detroit, Atlanta and San Diego. We will also make details available via the “What’s New” box on our main webpage – accessible via www.trade.gov/ftz

As noted above, there is no charge for grantee officials to participate in any of these events. However, registration is required. Registration is currently open for the two webinars and for the Providence, San Antonio and Seattle events. To register, please e-mail FTZ@trade.gov or call Marsha Foust at (202) 482-2862. Each registration request should include the individual's name and title and the grantee organization/public agency of which the registrant is an official. The deadline to register is one business day before the webinar/event.

As always, do not hesitate to contact us with any questions you may have.
