   Expansion of Foreign-Trade Zone 53, Tulsa, Oklahoma and Manufacturing
                                 Authority
                             for Marine Engines

                         Monday, September 27, 1993


Pursuant to its authority under the Foreign-Trade Zones Act of June 18, 
1934, as amended (19 U.S.C. 81a-81u), the Foreign-Trade Zones Board (the 
Board) adopts the following Order:

Whereas, an application from the City of Tulsa-Rogers County Port
Authority, grantee of Foreign-Trade Zone No. 53, for authority to expand
its general- purpose zone to include four new sites in the Tulsa Port of
Entry area, and for authority on behalf of the Mercury Marine Division of
the Brunswick Corporation to manufacture marine engines under zone
procedures within the expanded zone, was filed by the Foreign-Trade Zones 
(FTZ) Board on September 9, 1992, (Docket 30-92, 57 FR 43694, 9/22/92);

Whereas, notice inviting public comment was given in the Federal Register
and the application has been processed pursuant to the FTZ Act and the
Board's regulations; and,

Whereas, the Board has found that the requirements of the Act and the
regulations are satisfied, and that approval subject to an activation limit
is in the public interest;

Now, therefore, the Board hereby orders:
The application to expand FTZ 53 and for manufacturing activity is
approved, subject to the Act and the Board's regulations, including Section
400.28, and subject to a 2,000-acre activation limit.
