Approval of the Reorganization of Foreign-Trade Zone No. 41, Milwaukee, WI
TEXT: Pursuant to its authority under the Foreign-Trade Zones Act of June
18, 1934, as amended (19 U.S.C. 81a-81u), and the Foreign-Trade Zones Board
Regulations (15 CFR Part 400), the Foreign-Trade Zones Board (the Board)
adopts the following order:
Whereas, the Foreign Trade Zone of Wisconsin, Ltd., Grantee of Foreign-
Trade Zone No. 41, has applied to the Board for authority to reorganize its
general-purpose zone to relocate zone warehousing operations, to add two
sites near General Mitchell Field in Cudahy and in Milwaukee, and to add an
industrial site in West Allis, Wisconsin, within the Milwaukee Customs port
of entry;
Whereas, the application was accepted for filing on April 27, 1984, with
notice inviting public comment given in the Federal Register on May 3,
1984 (Docket No. 16-84, 49 FR 18881), and an amendment to the application
was filed on January 4, 1985 (50 FR 1098, 1/9/85);
Whereas, an examiners committee has investigated the application in
accordance with the Board's regulations and recommends approval;
Whereas, the reorganization is necessary to improve and expand zone
services in the Milwaukee area; and,
Whereas, the Board has found that the requirements of the Foreign-Trade
Zones Act, as amended, and the Board's regulations are satisfied, and that
approval of the application is in the public interest;
Now, therefore, the Board hereby orders:
That the Grantee is authorized to reorganize its zone in accordance with
the application filed April 27, 1984, as amended. The Grantee shall notify
the Executive Secretary of the Board for approval prior to the commencement
of any manufacturing operations. The authority given in this Order is
subject to settlement locally by the District Director of Customs and the
District Army Engineer regarding compliance with their respective
requirements relating to foreign-trade zones.
