Resolution and Order Approving the Request of the City of San Jose, CA, for 
Time Extension on Temporary Site

Resolution and Order 
 
   Pursuant to the authority granted in the Foreign-Trade Zones Act of June
18, 1934, as amended (19 U.S.C. 81a-81u), the Foreign-Trade Zones Board has 
adopted the following Resolution and Order: 
 
   The Board, having considered the matter, hereby orders:  
 
   After consideration of the request by the City of San Jose, California, 
grantee of Foreign-Trade Zone 18, filed with the Foreign-Trade Zones Board 
(the Board) on October 5, 1984, requesting a seven-month extension of zone 
status for the Metal Processing Industries, Inc. (MPI) site in San Jose 
that was approved by the Board on October 13, 1983 (Board Order 228) for 
a period of one year, the Board, finding that the requirements of the 
Foreign-Trade Zones Act and Regulations are satisfied, and that the 
proposal is in the public interest, approves the request and extends zone 
status at the MPI site until May 13, 1985.  
 
   Signed at Washington, D.C., this 26th day of November 1984.  
 
   This approval is retroactive to October 13, 1984.
