Proposed Foreign-Trade Zone; Providence and North Kingston, Rhode Island; 
Amendment to Application 
 
TEXT: Notice is hereby given that the application submitted to the Foreign-
Trade Zones Board (the Board) on April 5, 1983, by the Rhode Island Port 
Authority and Economic Development Corporation for a general-purpose 
foreign-trade zone with sites in Providence and North Kingston, Rhode 
Island (48 FR 32205, 7/14/83), has been amended to include an additional 
site covering 100 acres at the Quonset State Airport in North Kingston. 
The zone plan, which was discussed at the August 17 public hearing, 
remains otherwise unchanged. 
 
   Because of this amendment, the record is reopened for comments until 
March 15, 1984. Written comments should be addressed to the Executive 
Secretary at the address below. The application, hearing transcript, and 
amendment material are available for public inspection at the following
