Trade Zone 68, requesting authority to expand its zone in El Paso, within
the El Paso Customs port of entry. The application was submitted pursuant
to the provisions of the Foreign-Trade Zones Act, as amended (19 U.S.C.
81a-81u), and the regulations of the Board (15 CFR Part 400). It was
formally filed on November 30, 1983. The applicant is authorized to make
this proposal under Article 1446.9 of Vernon's Annotated Civil Statutes of

On April 14, 1981, the Board authorized the El Paso International Airport
Board to establish a foreign-trade zone for the El Paso area (Board Order

subsequently approved a transfer of the grant to the City (Board Order 193,

International Airport.
The City is now proposing to expand the scope of its zone boundaries.
This will allow zone users to be located througout the industrial park,
subject to Customs security requirements. The zone project will continue to
be administered for the City by the Airport Manager.
