Application for Expansion of Foreign-Trade Zone No. 8, Toledo, Ohio;
Withdrawal Approved
TEXT: Notice is hereby given that the Toledo-Lucas County Port Authority,
Grantee of Foreign-Trade Zone No. 8, Toledo, has requested the withdrawal
without prejudice of its application to expand its zone, filed with the
Foreign-Trade Zones Board on October 20, 1977 (Docket No. 12-77). The
proposal was opposed by the domestic steel industry because the main
purpose of the expansion was to handle foreign steel.
The withdrawal has been approved by the Board's executive secretary
and the proposal is considered closed.
