FTZ Board Grantee Outreach Event on Feb. 8 in Washington
Following last year’s successful grantee event in Washington, DC, the FTZ Board will be holding a grantee outreach event on February 8, 2012. The
event is scheduled for the day after the conclusion of a FTZ-related industry seminar in Washington.
There is no charge for our grantee outreach event, and all officials of grantee organizations or other public agencies are welcome to attend.
The forum will be broken into a morning and afternoon session as follows:
9:00 a.m. to Noon – The morning session will include an update on revised regulations, and may also encompass a dialogue with grantees (including
on ways the FTZ program could be improved to assist grantees) and training on key aspects of the FTZ program, including grantees' responsibilities
under the FTZ Act and Regulations.
1:00 p.m. to 4:00 pm – The afternoon session will involve demonstrations, discussions and assistance on use of the new Online FTZ Information
System (OFIS) that grantees will be using to submit their annual reports and to update key information about their zones. We will also try to
accommodate a discussion of any other topics of interest to grantees.
The grantee forum will be held at the U.S. Department of Commerce building, located at 1401 Constitution Ave., NW, Washington, DC. Directions
to the building can be found here:
